Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned from time to time of which you will be advised accordingly:

* Focus, understand, achieve the need to provide a responsive and quick turnaround of equipment presented for Triage to ensure that all our aim is to have zero shortages for each job/job part/order supplied to each customer.

* To always look to improve your flexibility, adaptability, and attendance/timekeeping performance.

Productivity and Quality (General)
* To take ownership of your work, in that the work completed achieves the defined timescale and is carried out satisfactorily with the use of self-inspection methods to ensure that stringent quality demands are met on each occasion.
* To take ownership of any Departmental/Operational performance measures or personnel objectives along with continually look to improve their performance and their Teams to ensure that all the work required by a defined timescale is carried out satisfactorily by meeting all the requested/associated demands ie; delivery, quality, service, output etc.
* To continually be open and willing to differing defined working practices within the Department to enable improvements in individual productivity levels and the performance of the Department.
* To participate if requested in Company or Departmental projects and improvement initiatives as assigned and furthermore, pro-actively communicate any constructive productivity improvements or cost saving suggestions for the Department or the Company to your direct Line Supervisor/Manager/Director.

* To challenge daily proactively all aspects of systems/processes/procedures daily within their department and within the operation, to find effective and efficient ways of improving the Department/Operation/Company.
* To focus themselves on a mindset with the work on “Getting it Done Now and Not Later” to maximise productivity, efficiency, and overall Operational effectiveness.
Duties include:
* To identify and safely fault find issues on a range of electrical equipment including some three phase appliances.
* Undertaking electrical and mechanical repairs on a variety of equipment in a safe and professional manner.
* To research parts and equipment required to effect repairs on technical equipment you have assessed.
* Communicating with the Repairs and Engineering Co-ordinator regarding any faults that cannot be resolved in-house.
* Preparing equipment to be sent to external suppliers for repair including scanning on to RT Pro jobs for tracking purposes.
* Broad testing of completed repairs (including PAT) before managing the return to stock.
* Using RT pro stock control system to track and update repair tickets keeping the system accurate in relation to world stock.
* Liaising with the repairs co-ordinator about retiring stock which is beyond economical repair.
* Work with the Repairs Inventory Technician to ensure stock repair supplies are maintained at appropriate levels.
* Work with colleagues in other MBSE branches or departments to share knowledge of repair processes and provide guidance of repair feasibility and complexity to stakeholders with a range of technical communication ability.
* Ensure the department workshop is always maintained in an efficient and organised manner with all tools and equipment accounted for.
* Work with appropriate line managers to ensure all operations are risk assessed and control measures are in place and being adhered to.
* Written documentation of measures taken to complete repairs and providing advice to repairs administrator if pricing is not accurate in relation to work undertaken.
Person specification
* To be able to demonstrate confidence handling technical equipment.
* Basic knowledge of electrical and or electronic theory.
* Must be able to confidently communicate technical ideas to a diverse audience.
* Be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues.
* Qualifications or previous experience in electrical repairs (including three phase) or the lighting industry - desirable.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings desirable.
* Have a valid, clean UK driving licence and able to drive on occasion when needed the repairs vehicle.
* Familiarity with and willingness to work according to health and safety at work regulations and ACOP’s that relate to the industry.
Travel
* To be prepared, able and comfortable when required to visit and/or work in other worldwide MBSE locations when there is a need to fulfill their job role. This will require periods of times working away with a varying number of overnight stays.

Training
* Training could be as an example, in person or via Microsoft Teams to a group or an individual.
* Be prepared to receive training of any description as and when required.
* Be prepared to achieve quality “cross training” within their department.
* Be prepared to provide training as and when required using both experience and relevant knowledge.
* To be prepared to undertake and achieve to support your development as a Workshop Technician, the Company may require you to attend any suitable training courses, as necessary. These training course/s may happen at any point during your employment in this role.

* To ensure that any requested, scheduled, or ad hoc meetings that you attend, you are on time along with ensuring that you have prepared to provide constructive content and contribution to these meetings.
Communication
* To be a clear, confident, precise communicator, whether written or verbal, at all levels within the Company and outside the Company along with if directly in person or by telephone with our customers ensuring that you remain customer focused on all times.
Systems
* To be familiar (and to enhance current levels of understanding/expertise) and use with and/or be prepared to receive Training at any point in time on the below Systems/Software:
o Rental Tracker Pro (RTPro)
o Optrax
o Sharepoint
o Word
o Excel
o Microsoft Teams
o Other Microsoft Packages
* Must be IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft office software.
* Must have the ability to learn the RT Pro inventory tracking system and Optrax scheduling system.

* To always provide thorough Teamworking “Management/Supervisory/All Staff” throughout, to enable them to fulfil their duties, systems, process, procedures.

* Weekend and extended hours working is required as the business demands. Working as part of the wider warehouse team if needed to cover absences, high workloads, and unforeseen circumstances.
