The Rapid Response Team is seeking a highly skilled and clinically motivated Resuscitation Practitioner to join our service at Frimley Health.
The Rapid Response Team supports the clinical care of all patients who are at risk of deterioration or other immediately life-threatening events or risk of suffering a cardiac arrest.
As the successful candidate, you will have experience in the management of medical emergencies and in the development and implementation of resuscitation policies and procedures. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will join a multi-professional clinical education team who are committed and passionate about delivering excellence in the trust.
Main duties of the job
Trust-wide role providing resuscitation expertise, advice, and training to all grades of clinical staff (as identified by the trust's training policy and other appropriate staff members). Therefore, the post holder must be able to respond to emergencies (as designated). Audit standards of emergency care and ensure up-to-date evidence-based practice throughout the Trust. This is a clinically oriented role that will require the post holder to complete shifts as the Resuscitation Practitioner of the day, working weekends, evenings, and night shifts as required for service delivery.

Job responsibilities
1. Provide evidence-based training for Nurses and Allied Health Professionals and clinical support groups within the field of Deterioration, Resuscitation, and Emergency Care.
2. Facilitate the Resuscitation Council (UK) Immediate Life Support Course.
3. Support the Senior Resuscitation Practitioner in running the Resuscitation Council (UK) Advanced Life Support Course.
4. Provide training for medical on-call groups as part of a rolling programme.
5. Support the education of Foundation Doctors with Simulation Training.
6. Support the Senior Resuscitation Practitioner in running ward-based cardiac arrest simulation.
7. Undertake clinical audits as directed by the Matron to maintain a database of in-house NEWS and Cardiac arrest calls.
8. Undertake the annual audits as directed by Matron and feedback results to the Cross-site Deteriorating Patient and Resuscitation Committee.
9. Follow up on cardiac arrest calls and input information onto a database to assist with the annual Cardiac Arrest report and NCAA data.
10. Actively partake in local, national, and international research projects as appropriate.
