Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts for all group entities
Leading cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial planning
Carrying out detailed KPI, variance, and OPEX analysis to support business performance
Managing and improving internal controls around POs and GRNs
Acting as the key contact for external auditors and statutory financial reporting
Submitting VAT returns, Aggregate Levy Returns, and Environment Agency submissions
Supporting ERP system upgrades and continuous improvement of finance processes
Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their development
Working with the Head of Finance on business-wide finance projects and strategic initiatives
Regular travel between Burnley and Warrington to support local site needsWhat We’re Looking For
Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with strong, relevant SME experience
Proven experience preparing management accounts and supporting commercial decision-making
Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
Excellent Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modelling)
Commercially minded – able to interpret numbers and tell the story behind them
Adaptable and flexible – thrives in a changing environment and able to pivot priorities
Collaborative approach – confident engaging with non-finance stakeholders across the business
Self-motivated and proactive – takes ownership and drives improvements
Comfortable balancing day-to-day tasks with strategic thinkingWhat You’ll Get in Return
