Search is hiring an Accounts Administrator to join a friendly and vibrant office near Glasgow's Southside. This is an initial temporary contract with a planned end date of May 2025. However, there is potential for the role to become permanent after the temporary period.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing efficient administrative support to a busy finance team and will report directly to the Financial Controller.
Working Hours:
Mon - Fri:
1. 09:00 - 17:00
2. 35 hours
Main duties include:
1. Process invoices quickly and accurately, matching them to purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies.
2. Reconcile bank, supplier, and customer accounts, fixing variances and keeping records tidy for audits.
3. Manage finance email inboxes, responding to queries and ensuring timely follow-ups.
4. Support Finance Analysts and Business Partners by sharing data and assisting with financial tasks.
5. Report to the Financial Controller with updates, flagging issues and helping prepare reports.
6. Handle payment runs, respond to finance queries, and keep databases up to date.
7. Follow company policies, assist with audits, and suggest ways to improve processes.
The ideal candidate:
1. Good written maths and English.
2. Capable of organising and prioritising personal workload.
3. Competent IT skills, including Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
4. Experience working in an accounts department or relevant qualifications.
Individuals applying must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications. This position will suit a candidate who enjoys working in a fun team for a company that values them.
