The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contract Administrator to join our successful Water team based from our St Asaph office, Denbighshire. This role is integral in our business, which will involve you being responsible for providing commercial support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor along with producing internal commercial information. In addition, you will be assisting with the administration of some of our large water and wastewater framework contracts, ensuring compliance and providing commercial assurance to the business.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensure main contractual obligations and processes are carried out compliantly from order receipt through to billing and final account.
* Ensure records are stored centrally in accordance with our policies.
* Preparation of subcontract orders for validation and approval of the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
* Ensuring payments and orders are properly approved in accordance with our authorities schedule.
* Assisting in the production of commercial information.
* Carrying out the month-end commercial processes and administration.
* Controlling the issue of project numbers to ensure there is a supporting contract order.
* Investigation with the project team, reasons for poor performing projects.
* Support Senior Quantity Surveyor with cash collection and progress reporting.
* Attend internal meetings.
* General administration duties.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a commercial background and great administration skills. You will be organised, methodical, and have excellent commercial acumen. It is essential that you have good IT skills to an advanced level especially in Excel. It goes without saying you have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, motivated to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and ownership of tasks. Finally, you will enjoy working in a thriving and challenging environment and as part of a team. Further training and development will be provided for the right candidate by one of our experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to develop their career in Quantity Surveying.
Skills:
* Sufficiently advanced competency in the use of MS Excel.
* Good general IT skills including Word and Outlook.
* Good planning skills / time management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Accurate, an eye for detail.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
