About the MFL Department:
The MFL Department offers French and Spanish to GCSE, and we currently offer both KS3 and KS4 enrichment sessions for our students.

We plan resources collaboratively and our directors share resources with their teams and develop schemes of learning and assessments regionally.

We create lessons where students are not afraid to make mistakes, and are keen to speak the language in a supportive environment. Responsibilities:
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for teaching languages and exploring culture, and who are committed to putting Students First. The successful applicant should be able to teach either Spanish or French to GCSE, with the ability to teach the second language at KS3.
We welcome applications from ECT teachers or experienced professionals. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for teaching languages and exploring culture and are able to develop this in students, being committed to putting Students First.
You should promote the achievement of high standards through effective teaching and learning within your subject area, including the preparation, application and development of lesson resources in alignment with the curriculum, as directed by your department head and senior leaders within the academy.
About Outwood Academy Redcar:
Outwood Academy Redcar welcomes students aged 11-16, located in the coastal town of Redcar near Middlesbrough in the North-East region.
Our academy is known for its warm and supportive environment, with a focus on inclusion and providing opportunities and experiences beyond the classroom for our students.
There is a real sense of togetherness within the team of staff, who work closely to consistently manage our high standards, creating a calm environment conducive for learning and achievement.
You will be responsible for effective classroom management and the coordinator of class work with any classroom support staff that are present. You must evaluate lessons and incorporate student views and responses to reflect and identify areas of development.
ECTs have access to a mentor within their department and are able to meet with them regularly.
Applicants must hold UK QTS, if trained overseas, or be able to provide relevant evidence that your qualification equates to UK QTS.
