Description You are a highly creative, passionate, and driven qualitative or mixed method user experience researcher looking to join a team focused on internal-facing enterprise systems and applications to create a better experience for employees in the Market Risk domain. As a User Experience Researcher your role involves scoping, planning, and conducting research, delivering actionable insights from comprehensive data analysis. You will collaborate with other UX Researchers, Product Designers, Product Owners, and Developers to create experiences that marry the best of user, business technology thinking. Job responsibilities Structure and plan tactical research initiatives that address Market Risk team needs Plan and execute generative and formative research Take a question or a problem and be able to translate it into a hypothesis—complete with a specific method and tasks that appropriately respond to research, project, and business objectives Be able to quickly understand the needs of our internal clients and stakeholders—especially as they relate to who their users are and what questions they really need to have answered Design, administer, and report on research studies, producing associated materials (e.g., screeners, discussion guides, toplines, etc.) with some guidance Present work, and the rationale behind research findings, to Market Risk stakeholders Help non-researchers (Product Designers, Product Owners) in taking part in user research work Work collaboratively with Product Designers, Product Owners, Developers, and other key stakeholders through all phases of a project Have excellent project management and organizational skills and execute on time Required qualifications, capabilities and skills Formal training or certification in relevant research or design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, Anthropology, Cognitive Science), or equivalent work experience conducting qualitative research Applied experience in user experience research Ability to lead a research study from beginning to end independently Experience conducting evaluative research, and supporting generative and strategic research Demonstrated ability to deliver recommendations that balance user needs and business needs Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills with stakeholders and senior executives- write, speak, and present information effectively, persuasively and confidently in a variety of communication/corporate settings Foundational experience with key UX methods and UX research tools for studies Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Master’s, Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Sciences, Psychology, Anthropology, Information Sciences or related discipline from a major accredited college or university Expertise in quantitative methodologies, or Service Design Interest or previous experience working in Financial Services or Fintech
