Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 basic salary with an OTE of approx. £42,000

Our client, a global brand operating in over 40 countries, is seeking a Sales Account Manager to drive sales revenues across one of their product portfolios. In this role, you will be responsible for securing profitable business within an allocated customer base and geography, meeting/exceeding monthly sales targets, providing regular updates on revenue and sales pipeline, analysing customer purchasing habits, and identifying future business opportunities. The role will be mostly telephone based but with the requirement to attend face to face meetings and trade fares on occasion.
What you'll be doing as the Sales Account Manager
1. Account manage an agreed set of clients, maximising on opportunities to increase market share and cross sell/upsell additional products
2. Proactively identify future clients and make them aware of your products and services, building a pipeline for the future.
3. Prospect for new accounts through referrals, suppliers, social media and industry publications
4. Analyse and react to customer spending habits to ensure the correct products and services are being offered
5. Maintain high service levels to current customers, focussing on building strong relationships to aid retention
6. Represent the company at meetings and events with customers, demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism
To be a successful Sales Account Manager, we'd expect you're good at the following
1. Working to a sales pipeline to consistently achieve target
2. Uncovering a customers real needs during a conversation to offer a suitable solution
3. Consultative with strong closing skills
4. Asking for feedback from customers to make sure the services and products are fit for purpose
5. Picking up on non-verbal cues to respond appropriately
6. Adapting your communication style to suit the needs of different customer types
Experience needed for the Sales Account Manager role
1. At least 2 years in a B2B sales environment. (preferably telephony based)
2. Account Management experience is desirable
3. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets consistently
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
