Investment Services and Solutions is one of the main business pillars and investment areas within Fidelity. It is going through a phase of rapid and substantial transformation of its business model as well as the Technology estate. The ISS Enterprise Architecture team is responsible for the Business, Information and Technology architecture across the Investment Services and solutions business. As the Lead Portfolio Architect, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in developing, implementing and managing our ISS wide technology architecture, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives, scalability, security and efficiency. About your role This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that the technology capabilities, and the evolution of them, align to the business goals enabling capabilities and data flows that need to be required. Working with the other strands of architecture you will: Lead and Manage the Portfolio Architecture Team: Design an implementable architecture Design: Lead the design and support the implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise-wide systems and applications, considering both business and technology aspects Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across projects and initiatives. Define and maintain the technology architecture vision, goals and strategy that aligns to both the technology and business strategies Ensure architectural governance and standards are maintained Provide leadership and stakeholder management: Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges, and translate them into actionable architectural solutions. Present complex technical and business concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. Be an advisor to the business and technology leads on ISS architecture and strategy. Act as a senior leader within the Technology department (3000 members). Proactively communicate decisions, roadmap, insight to the technology and business colleagues. Roadmap and Innovation: Create and maintain a change roadmap, across technology, business and data, outlining the evolution of the company’s architecture landscape over time, including business architecture perspectives. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation within the organisation. About you You will be able to demonstrate that you have: Led the architecture for large business and technology transformation programmes Extensive experience in the asset management across Investment Management, operations and distribution business - particularly within Private Assets (Real Estate, loans, etc) Strong communication skills with different types and levels of stakeholders, including C suite, both internal and external. Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise-wide architecture strategies and roadmaps, incorporating business and technology perspectives Effective leadership skills including negotiation, conflict resolution, influencing, bridge-building and political astuteness as well as the ability to motivate and inspire others A good understanding of financial markets, products and organisations Feel rewarded For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
