Job Description
Our client is a national business that is PE backed and has grown consecutively for the past few years through acquisitions. Based near Skipton, they have recently acquired a couple of businesses to join their portfolio to provide a more rounded and in-house experience for their clients within their marketplace. This growth is going to continue through a buy and build model.
They are now looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join them in this newly created role, where you will be integral in providing financial leadership and support across the business and multi-site operation. You will be confident with reporting the month-end and year-end numbers as well as everything in between and be comfortable in developing transparency and continuity on the reporting pack across the subsidiaries.
As Finance Manager, your duties will include:
1. Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the month-end management reports including P&L and balance sheet ready for review.
2. Preparation and continual review of the 13-week cash flow forecasting for the subsidiaries within the Group.
3. Provide accurate various analysis around revenue and GM reports, liaising with all key stakeholders and ensuring full understanding of the financial information.
4. Closely monitor the WIP and associated timeframes and cost management on projects.
5. Manage the collections and efficiencies of the debtors ledger.
6. Work closely with managers across the business with overhead expenditure and raise accountability.
7. Prepare and manage the reconciliations of the monthly payroll.
8. Maintain the stock ledger and reconciliations of inventory and stock movements.
9. Responsible for the fixed asset register.
Ideally, you will be qualified within the profession (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and looking to take ownership of a couple of subsidiaries within the Group while being fully immersed in the reporting and supporting the business strategy moving forward. The role will involve travel between sites and the ability to comfortably communicate across departments where necessary, as well as manage your wider team remotely.
In return for your commitment, the company offers a competitive salary, above-average pension, and other benefits around health. They are a good team to be a part of and will support someone who is looking for a role to raise their game in responsibility; however, they will also consider candidates with a wealth of experience too!
