Location:
This role is available in our Global Headquarters in Cambridge, as well as our London, Manchester, and Bristol offices.
About the Role:
As a Graphic Designer in our Creative team, you will be at the forefront of delivering diverse and intricate creative projects for both our clients in the healthcare sector and the company, including brand development, the design and layout of infographics, as well as the creation of event materials. Depending on your skillset, you may also be involved in digital projects such as the design of interactive materials for exhibitions, video editing, animations, and the creation of eLearning modules.
You will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity. This involves early-stage collaboration with other designers, project managers, and clients to define the project scope and objectives. You will then produce high-quality design materials, providing technical insight and offering guidance as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing Engaging Content: Creating a variety of visually appealing materials, including infographics, posters, event materials, and other design pieces for both internal teams and external clients.
* Collaboration: Working closely with creative colleagues and project managers at the outset of projects to determine the design scope, purpose, and strategic approach to be taken.
* Effective Communication: Clearly communicating project requirements to project teams and providing input on any technical queries.
* Quality and Delivery: Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
* Exceptional Service: Providing outstanding customer service, building strong partnerships with internal teams and external clients.
Hybrid Working Policy:
We recognise that home-working can improve work-life balance, reduce commuting times and costs, and provide the opportunity to juggle personal commitments. At the same time, we believe that having face-to-face time in the office holds many benefits and is central to ensuring that the community we have created, where people have a workplace they belong to and feel part of, is never lost.
Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home for up to half of the time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role) you will be able to work from home for 1 day per week.
Requirements:
We are seeking a motivated individual who can contribute innovative ideas to enhance our creative service offerings. You will have a great understanding of aesthetics and a meticulous attention to detail. You will also take pride in delivering a consistently exceptional service to both clients and colleagues within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This role requires a problem-solving mindset, strong analytical skills, as well as an enthusiasm for learning new technologies to produce high-quality project deliverables. Exceptional organisation and self-motivation, along with the ability to proactively identify innovative solutions, are essential.
Essential Requirements:
* A degree-level or higher qualification in a design-related discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio.
* Some professional experience within an agency or commercial setting.
* Extensive experience using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, as well as familiarity with other software in the Adobe Creative Cloud.
* A proven ability to generate, execute, and oversee a variety of creative concepts.
* A problem-solving mindset, and the ability to think outside the box.
* Confidence in presenting work to a wide range of audiences, including internal colleagues and external clients.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills, a high level of productivity, and the flexibility to adapt to changing deadlines.
* An ability to manage conflicting demands, prioritising tasks effectively.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build robust and sustainable working relationships.
