The Role:
As a Train Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring trains meet the highest cleanliness standards within a strict 15-minute timeframe, known as turnaround cleaning. Your duties will include: - Conducting a walk-through upon train arrival to remove rubbish and litter. - Sanitizing key touchpoints and ensuring toilets are clean and stocked. - Engaging with passengers while maintaining a professional and efficient workflow. Expect to board and clean 4+ trains per hour in this fast-moving role.
Requirements To be considered for this position, experience in cleaning within transportation, industrial, or housekeeping environments is highly desirable. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness is essential.
Work Schedule & Pay Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 on a rotating Monday-Sunday roster.
Week 1: Monday – Thursday (06:00 AM – 14:45 PM)
Week 2: Wednesday – Friday (14:30PM – 23:15 PM), Saturday (13:30PM – 22:15 PM), Sunday (10:15 AM – 22:15 PM)
Week 3: Monday, Tuesday (14:30 PM– 23:15 PM), Friday, Saturday (06:00 AM – 14:45 PM)
Week 4: General Purpose Roster (cover shifts as needed)
Pay Rates: • Standard Hours (35 hours per week): £13.52 p/h • Overtime (hours over 35 per week): £14.87 p/h
