Reed HR are exclusively supporting an engineering company in Cramlington to recruit a HR Officer. This is a site-based role, supporting the Plant Manager in delivering a high-quality HR service across various departments. This role is crucial for maintaining the HR operations across the organisation, ensuring compliance, and enhancing employee engagement. Location: Cramlington Job Type: Full-time Salary: 30-33k DOE Day-to-day of the role: Provide comprehensive HR support to the organisation. Oversee the entire recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, preliminary interviews, and issuing offer letters and contracts. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and manage all HR documentation. Implement and manage performance management and improvement systems. Supervise employee onboarding, probation reviews, and exit interviews. Regularly update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation. Handle employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance processes. Process payroll, ensuring statutory payroll reporting is completed accurately. Assist the Plant Manager in promoting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives. Organise training and development activities and maintain the training log. Required Skills & Qualifications: Relevant HR qualification, such as Assoc. CIPD, CPP, or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in HR. Exceptional customer service and teamwork abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills, both in-person and over the phone. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong planning and organisational skills to achieve departmental and business goals.
