Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for Senior Clinical Fellow on the Tier 2 (registrar) grade rota in the Paediatric department at North Manchester Hospital to cover the Children's Ward and the KOALA Unit and NNU. There are 14 doctors on the Tier 2 rota, on a full shift rota (band 1A) which includes daytime duties and 'on calls'. nights and weekends. The rota is EWTD compliant. Main duties of the job The Tier 2 middle grade doctors work on both the general paediatric ward (including high dependency unit and KOALA (paediatric observation and assessment unit), the level 2 neonatal unit and outpatients' clinics (consultant supervised). The middle grade doctors are supported by separate consultant hot weeks on both the paediatric and the neonatal units, and there are separate on call rotas. There are full tier 2 rotas on both the paediatric and neonatal units. The unit would help support the post holder to develop a special interest which would complement the department.
