WHAT TO EXPECT
Join our innovative Global Manufacturing Engineering Logistics team as a Continuous Improvement Specialist at the Logistics Operations Centre (LOC) Solihull. This role is perfect for someone passionate about driving change and enhancing the efficiency of our logistics operations through continuous improvement initiatives.
You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, facilitating workshops, and tracking improvement activities. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will implement process improvements and provide training on continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Support Process Improvement: Assist the Process Improvement Lead in developing and implementing a robust process improvement framework. Provide input and feedback to ensure the framework is effective and aligned with organisational goals.
* Facilitate Workshops: Lead continuous improvement workshops and activities to engage employees at all levels in identifying waste and implementing process improvements. Use techniques such as value stream mapping and root cause analysis.
* Track and Report: Monitor and report on the progress and impact of improvement initiatives. Develop metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify areas for further improvement.
* Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements. Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
* Create Comprehensive Documentation: Develop detailed documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, and training materials, to support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure that all documentation is clear, concise, and user-friendly.
* Provide Training and Support: Train logistics personnel on continuous improvement methodologies, such as Structured Problem Solving, Lean, and Six Sigma. Offer ongoing support and guidance to ensure consistent application and adoption of best practices.
WHAT YOU NEED
* Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives within a logistics or manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation and training materials.
* Proficiency in using documentation tools and software.
* Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
