The Regulatory Reporting Oversight Manager will ensure the accurate and timely completion of all regulatory reporting. The role involves evaluating current reporting processes and working with the Business Intelligence team to develop new tools to monitor operational risk and compliance. This will help deliver consistently positive customer outcomes across the organisation.
You’ll manage a team of Oversight Analysts, ensuring the oversight framework is robust and applied effectively across all first and second-line teams. Additionally, you will act as Secretary for the Compliance & Operational Risk Committee, which includes preparing reports, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting
* Ensure all regulatory reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with requirements from internal stakeholders and external bodies such as the FCA, FLA, and ICO.
* Use existing tools and create new solutions as needed to monitor customer outcomes and operational risks, taking corrective action when necessary.
* Stay up-to-date on:
* Relevant regulatory frameworks.
* The motor finance industry.
* Products, processes, and procedures.
Oversight
* Implement and maintain a strong oversight framework across first and second-line teams.
* Provide feedback and performance updates to the Head of Internal Control, Compliance & Legal Relay and other key departments.
* Build strong working relationships across the organisation and keep senior management informed of oversight findings, escalating issues where necessary.
* Serve as Secretary for the Compliance & Operational Risk Committee, including:
* Compiling monthly reporting packs.
* Taking minutes during meetings.
* Following up on agreed actions.
Team Management
* Lead and support the Oversight Analysts team, ensuring the oversight framework is followed and that results are reported and acted upon appropriately.
* Promote a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members, providing training, motivation, and support.
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
Essential
* Educated to Higher / A-Level standard.
* Strong analytical skills and experience in quality assurance.
* Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as CONC, TCF Principles, and GDPR.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable
* Familiarity with the motor finance industry or similar sectors.
* Experience in managing or developing oversight frameworks.
