Work Based Assessor - Social Services and Healthcare
Care, Health and Sport Faculty
Start Date: ASAP (subject to completion of PVG check)
Hours: 21 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Grade 4 Points 18 to 22
£33,783 to £36,701 per annum pro rata
(salary subject to pending job evaluation)
This salary includes £2,500 Market Allowance, which is in place until the outcome of Job Evaluation is confirmed and then will be reviewed.
West Lothian College are looking to appoint an outstanding Work Based Assessor for Social Services and Healthcare within the Care, Health and Sport faculty. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team, you will be part of a highly motivated team of Work-Based Assessors working with organisations looking to upskill and reskill their workforce by undertaking modern apprenticeships and SVQs within the social services and healthcare sector.
You will be educated to SCQF Level 9 in the Social Services and Health Care sector and be assessor qualified or prepared to complete an assessor award within 6 months of starting. You will have a good understanding and previous experience within this sector, ideally with a nursing background. You will have good organisational skills to prioritise effectively and the ability to communicate at all levels in order to help others achieve and hold qualifications and experience which meet SSSC Management registration requirements. Working from home, you will have the advantage of being flexible in your daily working hours over the course of the week.
Those shortlisted will be required to deliver a presentation and undertake a competency based interview.
