At Berry Global Group, we create innovative packaging and engineered products that we believe make life better for people and the planet. Our site at Ellough, Suffolk, focusses on selecting and producing recyclable and reusable products from all Berry product ranges.
We are looking for someone to be part of a team responsible and accountable for all tasks performed within the warehouse, carrying out all activities in a safe, controlled and efficient manner.
Qualifications
• Educated to GCSE Grade 4/C level
• FLT License holder
• Basic computer literacy
Responsibilities
• To work together with team in a flexible manner to achieve maximum productivity throughout the shift, liaising with the Team Leaders to resolve problem areas.
• Taking delivery of goods and supplies.
• Storing of goods.
• Preparation of stock.
• Loading of stock by forklift.
• Assisting with stock taking.
• Providing accurate records of stock movements.
• To ensure FIFO is carried out at all times.
• Printing delivery notes / Picking tickets.
• Communicating with drivers.
• Assisting the wider site with all movement requests.
• Daily FLT safety checks.
• To liaise with external contractors.
• To ensure that the work area is maintained in a safe and clean condition in accordance with site BRC and 6S standards and always being mindful of H&S requirements.
• To work as part of a team and using your own initiative in both planned and emergency situations.
• Undertake tasks with due regard to the health and safety of themselves, their co-workers and visitors, following Company Safe Working Practices and all hygiene rules.
• The Job holder will, at all times, be aware of the Company Environmental Management System, (ISO 14001) and will follow the safe working procedures and practices to ensure environmental safety is maintained.
• Employees must plan and perform their work in accordance with the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Policy, standards and procedures; and in compliance with statutory provisions.
• Comply with all corporate policies and procedures within the organisation.
• Alert management immediately of any significant changes to business risks and internal controls effectiveness.
• Notify management and/or Human Resources immediately of any breach.
