About the role
To partner with our Regional Managers to deliver both the Retail and People Plan, leading our cultural evolution where we put the colleague and customer at the heart of what we do - and have fun doing it.
Key responsibilities
The Retail HR Business Partner role is field based predominantly in our stores. You will play a role in modernising our organisation through change programmes, you will take a lead in the talent agenda with an eye on building capability and will support with our cultural evolution in retail. You'll partner with Regional Managers to drive and deliver the retail and people strategy.
Some key activities:
1. Leading Change - over this two year period, we anticipate exciting changes and you will be instrumental in enabling those change initiatives.
2. Perfect Partnerships - with your regional managers, be the coach, confidante and consultant. Build relationships based on trust to ensure a high support high challenge way of working.
3. Talk Talent - be the expert and champion in the talent space. Be clear on the strategic direction and ensure this is operationalised locally through talent conversations, programmes and actions.
4. Drive D&I - be an Ally by engaging, understanding and championing all networks and local initiatives.
5. Understand the communities that we work in and strive for this to be represented through our colleagues.
6. Challenge constructively - it's important you have an opinion. How do you ensure that you are able to provide feedback and challenge in a caring and constructive way.
Required skills & experience
1. The ability to analyse and interpret data to diagnose business problems. Can you story tell with the data that you do have to be able to influence stakeholders.
2. The ability to quickly build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders as well as in the people function.
3. Strong influencing skills and the ability to apply sound professional judgement.
4. Strong prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to exercise appropriate autonomy.
5. Experience of driving a performance culture.
6. The ability to coach leaders.
7. Experience of leading successful projects which deliver improvements for colleagues.
This two year secondment will start in November to allow a handover period. It is likely that the regions that you will partner with are in the South of England, however, anyone who is successful will be required to be mobile as you will cover regions in the absence of other RPP's.
