Are you a graduate considering a teaching career but wanting to gain some classroom experience first? I am working with several mainstream secondary schools in Rotherham who are looking to recruit a number of Cover Supervisors initially on a temporary basis (with future opportunities for permanent positions). Within this role, you will be leading classes across all departments, delivering pre-planned work, and managing classroom behaviour.
Our schools are keen to support graduates as future teachers, providing support and training with behaviour management and offering opportunities to gain experience in a selected department to support their subject specialism.
The ideal candidate will have some experience working within a school setting, be confident, and demonstrate the capability to lead classes of students and manage challenging behaviour. A subject specialism would be advantageous.
Job Details:
* Full-time or part-time roles (Monday – Friday or a minimum of 3 days per week).
* Working hours: 8:15/8:30 am – 3:15/3:30 pm
* Term time only – in line with the Rotherham academic calendar.
