The Role
The Finance Platform Functional Analyst aims to provide technical guidance, and expertise in the support, development, implementation, and optimisation of the Finance platform. This role ensures that the platform is efficient and is equipped with the latest features and functionalities to support the finance-related operations within Unite Students.
Able to bridge the gap between the technical capabilities of the Finance Platform and business needs, the role ensures that the Platform is set up, customized, and used in a manner that maximizes its value to the business while maintaining data integrity, security, and compliance. They will also be willing to train and become a functional expert in new SaaS technologies as and when onboarded.
Leading by example and helping to create a collaborative and supportive environment to facilitate close working relationships with team members and the wider business, the Finance Platform Functional Analyst reports to the Finance Platform Lead. This role sits in the Business Platforms Team within IT.
What You`ll Be Doing
1. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for our Enterprise Systems and the business processes they support, working to resolve the issues alongside our key users and 3rd party support partners.
2. Deliver system changes and enhancements to improve business processes and provide the right tools for the job for our key users, working with our Managed Service providers where appropriate. This includes writing and analysis of functional requirements and developing viable solutions.
3. Provide support to Unites future Enterprise Systems as and when they come online.
4. Support in the management of the team`s workload ensuring priorities are met.
5. Own, improve, and deliver a change process to promote fixes and changes in line with business priorities and the team workload.
6. Ensure all support calls and communication are logged within our ITSM tool, respond to support calls within agreed SLA targets in a professional and courteous manner, and escalate calls internally or externally.
7. Ownership, Creation, and maintenance of system documentation which supports IT and the business requirements.
8. Engage with other business functions to identify requirements for new initiatives that drive improvements across our core systems.
9. Develop excellent working relationships with customers and colleagues through strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people.
10. Manage the UAT process for system changes and patching, co-ordinating and analysing testing scenarios, executing tests where necessary and supporting our key users through the process.
11. Schedule patches, upgrades and code release in line with business priorities and the team work-load.
What We`re Looking for in You
12. Knowledge and expertise of Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS and Oracle Financials
13. Knowledge and experience of providing support and analysis for large scale / tier 1 ERP systems.
14. Experience of supporting and delivering IT change and IT projects
15. Experience in Agile methodologies
16. Ability to liaise comfortably with key stakeholders, translating business language into functional and technical solutions.
17. Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Oracle, Azure)
18. Ability to work in a team and on own initiative whilst prioritising and owing work assigned to you.
19. Experience of using IT support tools (Project Management, ITSM, Development and Deployment)
