An award-winning Newport based accountancy practice are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper for their team. This is an extremely flexible role, which can consider full and part time hours. The Senior Bookkeeper role involves managing your own portfolio of clients and providing a superior Bookkeeping service. To be considered for this opportunity you do need to have worked with cloud based accounting software, including, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks. It is imperative you have worked in an accountancy practice previously. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone seeking flexibility whilst delivering an excellent Bookkeeping service. Senior Bookkeeper duties and responsibilities; Posting invoices, reconciling bank and preparing journals such as accruals, prepayments and depreciation. Working with cloud based accountancy packages including, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks. Data processing and reconciliations both at client premises and within the office. Preparing VAT returns. Management accounts. Liaising with clients and assisting with general queries via email and telephone. Training clients with accountancy software. Assisting with junior members of the team as and when required. Working Hours; Monday-Friday 37.5 hour per week.
