Practice Plus Group are pleased to announce that they will be taking over the healthcare contract at HMP Garth, a Category B prison in Lancashire from 1st April 2025.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse to join our team there from April. The prison houses around 1500 men with a variety of health needs and within this role, you'll be an integral part of the healthcare team. Within this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.
This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week. You will receive an annual salary of between £33,232 and £40,211 per annum depending on experience.
Hours
We will provide a 24 hour service at HMP Garth so you will be required to work shifts covering nights and weekends where applicable.

Main duties of the job
As our new Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
* Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
* Deliver personalised, non-judgmental care, based on patient feedback
* Undertake medication rounds
* Dispense controlled medication
* Attend emergency response situations
* Deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group
