Reporting directly to the CEO, the Operations Manager will play a key role in executing the company's strategy and ensuring seamless production and supply chain management. This position requires a proactive and results-driven professional who can lead teams effectively while implementing best practices to optimise manufacturing performance. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing & Production Management Oversee the development and execution of manufacturing strategies, including capital expenditure plans for operational expansion. Lead project management for major investments in facilities and equipment, ensuring on-time and budget-friendly execution. Manage all aspects of production, including workforce, supply chain logistics, raw materials, and scheduled maintenance. Enhance efficiency and streamline processes while maintaining high-quality production standards. Operations & Team Leadership Lead and develop the operations team, ensuring high performance across production and facilities management. Monitor and report on financial and operational performance, delivering regular updates to the executive team. Develop and implement quality policies and operational strategies to enhance performance and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with senior leadership to support key company initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Identify operational risks and implement measures to mitigate them effectively. Legal & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a compliant and safe working environment. Develop and implement a plan for quality accreditation and regulatory compliance for manufacturing operations. What We're Looking For We are seeking a forward-thinking leader with a strong operational background and a passion for driving efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills & Experience Management experience in production, operations, or manufacturing, ideally within the food, agri-food, or animal production industries. Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and developing diverse teams. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain logistics, and process optimisation. Financial acumen, with experience in budget management and cost control. Understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements. Proven ability to manage risks and implement strategic solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Full clean driving license. Desirable Skills & Experience Degree-level education in a relevant technical or commercial discipline. Experience in remote manufacturing operations. Background in food and drink or agri-food manufacturing is highly advantageous.
