Full or part time hours available.
Working under the direct supervision ofthe practice nurse/ANP and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelinesand protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical teamin the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Main duties of the job
Duties and responsibilitiesare varied and include: ECG recording, phlebotomy, chaperoning, blood pressurechecks, assisting with processing of laboratory specimens, simple wounddressings.

Processingand management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses

Vaccine/coldchain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgicalequipment and stock rotation
Clearingand re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparingand maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patientcare interventions, including assisting GPs during the performance of minoroperations
Assistingin the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
Undertakingspecific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated andtaught specifically in relation to that individual
