We are looking for someone who has a background as an production engineer, who is happy to be the face of our technology centre.
As the Technology Centre Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll have full P&L responsibility for the Centre, by working closely with the engineering team and managers, you will oversee the use of the centre for their customers manufacturing projects, and supporting where needed.
This role is crucial in aligning the centre’s future strategy with our business goals and enhancing our brand presence through various digital marketing channels.
Based in our head office in Wednesbury, this role will require a mix of onsite, working from home and getting out onto client sites.
The role as the technology centre manager:
Full P&L Responsibility
Key point of contact for our suppliers, helping them showcase their brand through us.
Develop solutions & creating marketing opportunities around the offering.
Organising open days & training sessions.
Upskilling the current team, your clients teams & future apprentices.
Capturing and creating all forms of content to enhance our brand presence
Promoting our projects with compelling content and maximise this across our social platforms and website.
You will need to be confident in working with the marketing team to provide content for writing blogs, video’s and driving engagement across social media platforms.
We’re looking for a creative thinker with the confidence to get in front of the camera and assist the marketing team in managing our Technology Centre’s social media platforms. Your ability to generate fresh ideas and effectively communicate our brand story will be essential in elevating our market position and driving sales.
Skills and attributes we need in this Technology Centre Managers role:
We’re seeking a candidate with hands-on experience from the shop floor, particularly in programming and running jobs in a CNC environment. You should have a genuine passion for engineering and be eager to step out of your comfort zone to become an influencer in this space. While you don’t need to be fully prepared for this role, you should have the drive and social engagement to succeed. Familiarity with Fusion 360, Siemens NX or Vericut is beneficial, but not essential. However, you must be capable of learning these tools to program the machines effectively.
