The role The role of a SEND Teaching Assistant is to foster a positive learning environment for students with mixed SEND needs, including those with ASD and ADHD. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with the support team, teachers, and staff to create tailored support plans that engage and motivate students through innovative methods, such as sports-based activities and interactive learning strategies. Providing both one-on-one and group support, you'll adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each student. Your responsibilities will also include implementing behaviour management strategies, monitoring student progress, and fostering emotional support in a safe environment where students feel comfortable expressing their feelings. Ultimately, you will help students develop essential social skills, resilience, and coping mechanisms to support their overall well-being and academic success.
