Location: Centre of Advanced Studies of Blanes (CEAB), Spain (Year 1); Institute of Evolutionary Science of Montpellier (ISEM), France (Year 2)
* PhD in Biology, Data Science, or related fields
* Background in community ecology or population genetics/molecular ecology
* Skills in bioinformatics applied to species and community diversity analyses, including knowledge of metabarcoding pipelines
* Knowledge of Unix environments and programming
* Experience in marine ecology or biological invasions preferred but not required
Job Description:
* Analyze eDNA metabarcoding data collected in European ports, from raw sequences to publication
* Conduct intra-OTU level population analyses for selected Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs)
* Collaborate with the project team to develop and apply bioinformatics methods for species and community diversity analyses
* Maintain a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the research group and optionally mentor Master students
