Base pay range
Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing and innovative service focused on improving young people’s psychological well-being and supporting reunification with their families. The service offers structured, long-term therapeutic interventions through weekly individual and group sessions over 18 to 24 months.
You will be provided with ongoing training and supervision aligned with your role and professional development needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical and Client Care
* Deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions for young people and families
* Provide individual and group therapy, including facilitating Service User Network (SUN) groups focused on coping strategies and crisis planning
* Monitor and manage risk, creating appropriate risk management plans
* Act as keyworker and participate in multi-agency planning and reviews
Team & Service Contribution
* Promote a psychologically informed environment
* Support delivery of accessible services to diverse communities
* Provide consultation and guidance to colleagues, working collaboratively with mental health teams and external professionals
Policy & Service Development
* Implement and contribute to service policies and procedures
* Participate in young person engagement and service development initiatives
* Involve yourself in relevant projects and quality improvement
Resource Management
* Use organisational resources responsibly
* Monitor and request supplies/equipment as needed
Supervision & Management
* Supervise junior staff or assistant psychologists (where applicable)
* Receive monthly management and bi-monthly clinical supervision
Training & Research
* Provide specialist training to other professionals where appropriate
* Conduct service evaluations, audits, and research projects
Information Governance
* Maintain high standards of clinical record-keeping in line with policy
* Ensure compliance with data protection and professional standards
Requirements:
* Postgraduate qualification in psychology (clinical, forensic, applied, etc.) or a relevant therapeutic discipline
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in therapeutic services, mental health, and working with children or young people
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience with learning disabilities, social work, or youth/community work
* Previous experience facilitating group therapy
Additional Information:
* Hybrid working model: face-to-face and virtual attendance required
* Some travel across a large geographic area expected
* Occasional weekend work may be required
* Line management provided by a Clinical Lead
