With AMP8 fast approaching for the Water industry, Southern Water are looking for a Project Manager to support the Health Safety Security and Wellbeing (HSSW) function within the company. Your role as Project manager will be hands on one, developing projects from concept and assessment phases through to delivery. This will involve defining requirements, creating project plans, coordinating delivery, tracking spends and schedules, highlighting and managing risks and reporting progress that will be reviewed at an Executive level. You will enable the effective management and creation of project plans by: - Developing project schedules and cost profiles, including routine monitoring of project costs and budgets. - Leading project steering groups, ensuring you have robust governance processes in place. - Holding stakeholders to account against agreed timelines. - Identifying and analysing risks and issues, ensuring each has an owner with appropriate mitigations. - Producing project
reports, based on RADIO and PCT, providing key management information for senior leaders to make informed decisions. You will support our wider goal of improving safety and security by: - Creating and delivering a Security Access Control System project to fit new hardware and security processes across the estate (Kent, Hampshire and Sussex). - Creating a project to integrate the above ACS with enterprise safety data, linking access to safety control measures. - Establishing a project to provide emergency and routine security and safety information to colleagues. - Planning and supervising a contracted project to conduct Security Risk Assessments (SRAs) and security asset audits across the estate. - Supporting a project to roll out a companywide induction project. - Helping to configure our IT systems and processes better manage security and safety data. This exciting opportunity will give you the chance to go out to sites and work with colleagues and 3rd party contractors from
various disciplines - you will be closely involved and take a practical, hands on, approach to the Management of Projects. You will be either APMP or Price 2 Certified and will preferably have experience working on security and safety projects. Experience delivering multiple projects concurrently and any experience with water, utility or security industries would be highly advantageous.
