The Role We are looking for experienced 1-1 Learning Support Assistants to join the school’s dedicated team. In this role, you will work closely with students who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring they receive personalized support to overcome challenges and achieve success. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1-1 support to students with Special Educational Needs. Assisting students in managing and overcoming challenging behaviours. Building strong, trusting relationships to break down barriers to education. Collaborating with teachers and support staff to foster a positive learning environment. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: Have proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Be confident in managing and supporting students who may display challenging behaviours, including the ability to de-escalate situations calmly. Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusting bonds with students.
