Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Events, Food and Beverage Manager to contribute and oversee the daily operations of our events, food and beverage services. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences while maintaining high standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, excellent supervisory skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.
Event Duties
1. Manage all aspects of events, food and beverage operations, including stock ordering, stock checks, food preparation, and service delivery.
2. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
3. Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and bartenders, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
4. Understand and carry out training programs for staff to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
5. Assist in other food & beverage outlets within the venue.
6. Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement in service quality.
7. Arrange set up, turn around, and turn downs of events.
Experience
1. Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel or event setting.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, culinary techniques, and food production processes.
3. Experience in supervising staff, with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
5. Familiarity with bartending practices is advantageous but not essential.
6. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences is essential for success in this role.
