You will work as part of the therapy team supporting patients to return home as soon as possible by providing timely and regular therapy interventions maximising their chances of staying at home. You will be an excellent team worker with knowledge across a range of Physiotherapy treatments. Alternatively this experience could be invaluable for your career progression to Band 7 roles. Main duties of the job To provide therapeutic assessment, management and treatment of patients in a variety of specialties within the Acute hospital setting; working within the HCOP and Medicals team at Good Hope hospitals. Focusing interventions to a wide variety of clinical cases, applying physiotherapy knowledge. There will be a strong focus on facilitating discharges home, or to other care pathways. You should possess excellent communication, prioritisation and organisational skills; and have experience in working in a multidisciplinary team. Undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner and maintain associated records. Furthermore assisting with supervision, education and co-ordination of generic Therapy Support Workers and Junior therapists. You should be willing to participate in seven day working. In return you will gain excellent clinical and leadership experience. You will also develop organisational skills and service development experience.
