Personal Assistant-Chorley
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to an 9 year old boy who is Autistic with a Pathological Demand Avoidant (PDA) profile, has Sensory Processing Difficulties and is very active. Support will be provided within his own home and within the local community.
As a Personal Assistant your duties will include supporting with co-regulation, adopting parent led strategies and techniques and encouraging engagement in activities within the home using sensory equipment and inclusion within the local community including transportation.
We are looking for a reliable, energetic, flexible, patient individual with a good sense of humour and a passion for supporting others who loves the outdoors and swimming. An interest in Minecraft/Roblox/Youtube is an advantage. Must not be allergic to animals as this is a pet friendly environment.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. A positive attitude and a proactive work ethic is essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a part time position for 9 hours per week to be worked flexibly with an hourly rate of £14.00 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme. Work pattern to be discussed at interview stage.
