As a Clinical Home Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Home, including taking full professional accountability for the clinical management of the home.
You will ensure that all aspects of the Home's management meet the Fundamental Standards, the NMC Code of Conduct, the requirements of the Care Quality Commission, the Company’s own Aims and Objectives, and any other relevant regulatory agencies.
You will demonstrate leadership within your staff team and act as a positive role model, ensuring your presence is visible within the community of the home.
You will oversee and maintain the care of residents, including clinical aspects, actively participating in meeting each resident’s needs according to their individual wishes and preferences, respecting their dignity and promoting independence.
You will ensure full implementation of current legislation, quality control and assurance requirements, and adherence to Company policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for managing and supervising the staff team, including Registered Nurses, and promoting team working and a positive working environment and culture.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Registered Nurse with active PIN registration – (highly desired)
* Previous management experience within a nursing home of similar size
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including robust IT skills
* Strong knowledge of the NMC Code of Conduct and standards
* Good understanding of Fundamental Standards and the Care Act
* In-depth knowledge of Person-centred care principles, leading teams to provide high-quality care, promoting independence and enablement
* Proven ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a large team of staff
* Up-to-date knowledge and skills aligned with current professional development
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
* Effective communication skills with residents, families, stakeholders, and relevant bodies
* Experience caring for residents with nursing needs and those living with Dementia
* Flexible approach to working hours
