Job summary
A full time (10 PA) post as a consultant cardiologist with a specialistinterested in complex implantable devices and imaging is available atBuckinghamshire Healthcare NHS post will be based at StokeMandeville Hospital and Wycombe successful candidate will join a consultant workforce of othersubstantive consultants and two visiting substantive consultants. The positioncomes with secretarial support.
Main duties of the job
The consultant will be expected to provide bradycardia pacing internal cover during working hours if required on non-lab days and device management advice to the physiology team.
The consultant will be expected to see patients in an outpatient clinic as well as wards.
The consultant will have educational duties including supporting the cardiac rehabilitation and virtual ward teams
The consultant will have electronic referral service duties (advice and guidance, triage)
The on-call rota is 1:8 with internal cover starting at 1800-0800. The expectation is that the consultant should be available to provide telephone advice and to return to the hospital within 40 minutes if weekends on-call begins 1800 on Friday through to 0800 Monday. A fullcardiology ward round is expected on Saturday with morning review of any acute admissions on Sunday.

2. Full and Specialist registration (and with a licence to practice) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview
3. MCRP
4. If an applicant is UK trained, they must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or have a proposed date of CCT within 6 months of the interview. If an applicant is non-UK trained, they will be required to show evidence to the UK CCT
