The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing new and existing technology in-line with customer requirements, they will be responsible for leading and contributing towards multiple and often complex projects, ensuring that project development objectives are met successfully. This position will provide comprehensive technical knowledge and ability to aid in the resolution of issues and the completion of technical assignments, they will also provide support to the project engineers and team leader as required as well as mentor and supporting other members of the Electrical section with technical aspects of their work.

Senior Electrical Engineer Duties & Responsibilities:
* Oversee the design, development, and evaluation of new models from concept to mass production, ensuring alignment with customer requirements. Collaborate with various R&D teams to guarantee these objectives are met.
* Critically assess design proposals and actively participate in peer review meetings. Develop test procedures to validate designs, focusing on EMC and Signal Integrity issues, and address potential problems before reaching the sample stage.
* Ensure consistent communication with customers, suppliers, and PMUK departments to keep all stakeholders informed throughout the project. Ensure compliance with relevant safety directives and regulations where applicable.
* Apply technical expertise to investigate and resolve complex issues, including design flaws, evaluation failures, and changes in requirements, while coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and other organisations.
* Review historical design issues and lead efforts to eliminate them from future models, guiding engineers through this process. Ensure development builds meet scheduled timelines and support inquiries related to components and assembly.
* Support cost management for projects, including sample, mass production parts, and tooling costs. Assist the Project Leader in creating and maintaining project schedules for electrical/electronic aspects of development.
* Work with the Project Team to ensure all project documentation (e.g., NCL, BOMs, schedule tables) is completed in line with required processes.
* Stay updated on new technologies to improve R&D systems and processes, driving efficient product development and future innovations.
* Provide weekly project updates to PMUK management, highlighting ongoing issues and the actions being taken.
* Attend and contribute to technical and strategic meetings, both internal and external, and mentor R&D team members on technical matters.
Senior Electrical Engineer Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree level qualification in an Engineering or business-based discipline plus 5 years relevant industry experience, or at least 10 years relevant industry experience in a similar role.
* Knowledge of PMUK home appliance products (Desirable).
* High level of experience in Electrical and EMC testing in a design environment and of fault finding to component level.
* High level of experience of PCB design tools (Zuken CR5000 preferably) & Circuit simulation tools
* Highly experienced in designing electronics circuits and taking the design from concept to mass production.
* Dealing with sub-contractor assembly houses.
* Design for EMC/ESD and noisy environments.
* Experience of soldering and de-soldering (including surface mount components).
