We are looking for a fabulous Mid Weight Interior Designer to join our vibrant and fast-growing company, based in Birmingham. 2G specialise in developing beautifully crafted hospitality spaces and offices. What you’ll be doing:
1. Collaborating with the team to see the design through from concept to completion
2. Taking clear, detailed briefs from Management
3. Translating Client aspirations & Brand
4. Developing briefs into sketch proposals
5. Preparing detail designs in both 2D & 3D
6. Producing photorealistic renders
7. Developing mood/ material selection/ sample boards
8. Scheduling FF&E
9. Produce high level, detailed technical drawing packs
10. Ensuring projects are kept within budget
11. Meeting tight deadlines
12. Assist & report to the Head of Interior Design & Directors in general project development
13. Participate in meetings & presentations to discuss design concepts & minute feedback
14. Acquiring quotations, liaising with suppliers
15. Maintaining sample library
16. Contributing to Social media & Marketing Campaigns
17. Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the Directors or Design Manager.
18. Representing the 2G Design & Build brand & ethos
What you'll need to succeed:
1. A Bachelors degree in Interior Design/ Interior Architecture & Spatial Design or related field
2. 5+ years of experience within the UK commercial Interiors Industry
3. A passion for interior design & all aspects of the role
4. Strong creative & conceptual thinking
5. Good proficiency of Autocad/ Vectorworks, Microsoft Office, Sketch Up, Adobe InDesign & Photoshop
6. D5 rendering skills would be advantageous
7. Good presentation skills
8. Be organised & have exceptional attention to detail
9. Ability to self-check details & implement the expected quality of all material submitted by the company
10. Friendly, approachable & above all, a team player, with excellent verbal & written communication skills
11. Ability to work effectively both independently & as part of a collaborative team
12. A portfolio showcasing your design projects, including sketches, renderings & completed projects
13. Proof of Right to Work (where required)
14. This role is based in Birmingham so you need to be commutable to the office.
