About the Role:
GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to undertake a position at schools in Eastleigh. Your role will involve providing personalised assistance, promoting a love for learning, and contributing to the overall academic development of students in diverse special needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
* Implement strategies to support students with diverse special needs particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs to help them reach their maximum potential.
* Cooperate with teachers and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants to foster an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
* Utilise various methods to encourage positive behaviour and active participation in learning activities.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behaviour management and fostering a sense of belonging among students.
* Offer personalised one-on-one assistance to students with special needs.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant role:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs.
* Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
* A patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
* Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.
To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should:
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
