Our extremely well-established client in Telford has asked us to recruit for a Payroll Clerk on a permanent basis. This is a lovely, varied accounts role based in a picturesque setting.
As Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for:
* Processing monthly payroll.
* Checking holiday and sickness records and ensuring compliance with necessary statutory regulations.
* Cost analysis.
* Preparation of payroll related payments, pensions etc.
* Post payroll journal.
* Cash and bank entries.
* Prepare and share weekly labour costings with departments.
* Month end journals – including payroll accrual.
* Raise sales invoices.
* Accounts receivable.
* Perform payroll, AR balance sheet reconciliations.
* Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in a similar role including payroll. You will need strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word and experience of using Sage payroll and a time and attendance system would be an advantage.
