An exciting opportunity to join our Gillingham Surgical Centre - formally Will Adams NHS Treatment Centre, as an experienced Scrub Practitioner or ODP has become available.

What you'll be doing:
As our Scrub Practitioner/ODP, you'll be a vital part of a professional, friendly, and compassionate team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager. Our focus is on ensuring that our patients receive high-quality expert treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings, and you'll do everything you can to ensure the patient's treatment is of the highest evidence-based standard.
You will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for 'total patient' care in the perioperative phase. Participation in ordering, audit, and review processes within the department will form an integral part of your role to ensure optimal patient care and best practice.
What we'll look for in you:
A Registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner, with:
* Knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic, general, and/or ophthalmology team
* Being fully up to date with current research and developments in theatre practice
* A sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department

* Working 3 x 9.5 hour, 1 x 9 hours day between Monday and Saturday
