What you'll be doing You will be a confident and skilled performance and reward specialist. You will be passionate about designing and implementing performance and reward frameworks to drive high performance and engagement. The role will report to the Head of Performance & Reward and will ensure full alignment to the direction and strategy of our ambitious roadmap that makes Nationwide a great place to work. The main role duties include: Planning and overseeing the effective and prompt delivery of people-related proposition and ad-hoc activities (e.g. annual pay awards, annual performance pay, benchmarking and market data, job evaluation, Material Risk Taker (MRT) assessments as required). Contribute to the design and implementation of market leading propositions including development of engaging communications to raise employee awareness and drive engagement. Participate in and, when suitable, lead projects and business change programs, offering expertise and challenging the status quo while ensuring ongoing improvement. Conduct research, analysis, and data modelling to understand and interpret insights regarding the preferences and interests of the respective population, informing strategy, recommendations, and decision-making. Serve as a trusted advisor by providing specialised advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders. Be recognized as an expert, offering challenges, feedback, and valuable insights to ensure sustainable solutions. Organisation and development of papers, and management information for Governance Committees, Board(s), and Regulatory reporting as needed, including provision of consultancy services and data management beyond your immediate expertise. Delivery of effective and proportionate compliance and regulatory requirements, supporting governance of Society Reward and pay frameworks and promote accountability to guide the team's decision-making. About you As a minimum, you will have: Broad HR experience within areas such as Performance and/or Compensation and Benefits acquired from working in large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholders. Experience in functioning within a business partner framework, collaborating with leaders to achieve effective business results. A proven track record of aiding in the design and execution of HR propositions, frameworks, and strategies. Exceptional analytical capabilities, coupled with the proficiency to leverage insights for challenging and guiding decisions, as well as securing consensus on plans. Exceptional written communication with experience of developing formal presentations /papers and engaging communications. Exhibited interpersonal skills, along with experience of effectively challenging and influencing various stakeholders through well-thought-out interventions. Solid business and commercial skills, along with experience in crafting compelling business cases.
