Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading construction client to hire a Quality Engineer for a permanent position on a major rail and infrastructure project in West London. This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with 3-4 days on-site and 1-2 days from home, along with a competitive salary of up to £60,000 plus benefits.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for use by the local installation team.
2. Establish minimum inspection and test criteria for all products and services and communicate these across the installation team, ensuring project specific requirements are met.
3. Manage and conduct inspections and tests during installation, generating appropriate records and final sign-off/handover of the completed installation.
4. Manage and witness inspection and test for associated equipment at the supplier’s premises.
5. Provide support and training for managing and conducting inspections and tests during the installation.
6. Create, maintain and progress the Lifetime Record (LTR) documents throughout the lifecycle of the project.
7. Liaise with the installation team to exchange knowledge regarding inspection and quality requirements for the installation programme.
Quality Engineer Qualifications:
1. Detailed knowledge of quality, environmental and health and safety standards and industry specifications for construction.
2. Ability to continually develop the company Management Systems by ensuring compliance with the latest European legislation, standards and specifications.
3. Computer literate.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
