The successful applicant will be joining a small team that currently consists of a lead vascular scientist, vascular sonographer and administrative assistant that works in collaboration with wider Vascular clinical and service management teams. The Vascular Lab itself provides a wide range of vascular investigations to both inpatients and outpatients and works closely with the National AAA screening programme. The Vascular Lab assistant will support the effective day to day running of the Lab be that, for example, with direct support to patients and colleagues, undertaking audits to measure compliance with clinical safety governance standards, carrying out basic ultrasound examinations and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the ultrasound machines. Applicants must have recent clinical experience, particularly in carrying out basic procedures such as blood pressure monitoring or venepuncture.
