Job Description ILS Engineer ( Availability ) - Submarines Full time Derby Rolls-Royce Submarines is looking for an ILS Engineer with experience of RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance), Availability or Lifecycle Engineering to work within our Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team to develop the maintenance and support solution for the current UK submarine fleet as well as for future submarine designs. There is currently a great opportunity to have a strong and lasting positive impact on the availability and maintainability of the new Dreadnought class and AUKUS submarines over their full-service life spanning many decades. This is set against a climate where Rolls-Royce submarines is placing significant emphasis on optimising maintenance and our support offering for boats currently in service, to maximise the amount of time capable submarines are available to the Royal Navy. What you will be doing: As the ILS Engineer you will work across a broad range of supportability, availability and lifecycle topics and will include: Identifying maintenance requirements through the implementation of a Reliability Centred Maintenance approach for future submarine classes. Development of maintenance task instructions. Identifying spares requirements & Management of the Logistical Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database for supportability data. Support the development and verification of Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (ARM) requirements for our newest submarine reactor designs. Experience of ILS approaches and ways of working is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
