Our client based in Irlam are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join them on a permanent basis. Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) Reporting into the Engineering Supervisor, you will work as part of a 6 person maintenance team and be responsible for: Carrying out electrical and mechanical PPM activities in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems. Ensuring on-site Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and maintaining accurate records/documentation associated with the PPM and plant maintenance, aiming to achieve and maintain standards of quality compatible with ISO 9002. Responding promptly and effectively to all electrical and mechanical-related reactive maintenance issues. Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical and mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, sensors, and control systems. Coordinating visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with electrical and mechanical aspects of the PPM schedules. Conducting fault diagnosis and repairs on systems including Heating, Ventilation, and Building Services. Assisting with the installation, modification, or commissioning of new equipment as required. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies. Completing accurate timesheets and reports as required by management. Adhering to security policies and procedures. Other duties as requested. Essential critera of the Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) : Completion of a nationally recognized electrical or mechanical apprenticeship. 18th Edition wiring regulations (or equivalent). Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Desirable for the Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias): HNC/HND in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical). PLC fault-finding or programming qualification. NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
