Role Overview
This role will provide evidence-based best-practice assessment, diagnosis, formulation, treatment, and prevention of a wide range of mental health disorders and systemic barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study.
You will support our customers in addressing non-vocational barriers and developing their skills and job readiness. The role may also involve delivering relevant training and consulting with site staff and other service providers.
Position Details
This role is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 17/01/2025, servicing customers across Armadale and Cannington.
You’ll experience a work/life balance with a 9-day fortnight, including a fixed day off every second week. You will receive full-time remuneration and have the option for salary sacrifice. We encourage you to apply early as this is a highly sought-after opportunity.
About You
To succeed, you will be able to:
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
* Apply a range of psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for clients with complex needs;
* Employ effective conflict resolution strategies;
* Understand available mental health and support services;
* Provide individual therapy, group therapy, and case management;
* Critically analyze issues related to psychological care for quality improvement or research;
* Understand the local labour market;
* Work effectively with culturally diverse populations;
* Understand barriers to employment for disadvantaged individuals and communities;
* Be familiar with case management frameworks; and
* Have a basic understanding of WHS responsibilities.
You will also need to:
* Hold a current driver’s license;
* Possess a Bachelor Degree or higher in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counselling;
* Social Workers must be registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (applicable to SA staff).
