We are seeking an Associate with 2 PQE to join our prestigious Energy, Projects, Infrastructure, and Construction (EPIC) team. If you are a real estate/commercial property lawyer with a passion for clean and renewable energy, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Our national practice is on an upward trajectory, focusing on high-impact projects of national importance. You will be based within a commutable distance from either Southampton or Bristol, offering hybrid flexible working. What you’ll do: This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a key role in the commercial property sector, with a focus on clean and renewable energy. In this role, you will contribute to expanding the Future Energy sector. You will primarily work on renewable energy projects, collaborating with the wider EPIC team, including Principal Directors and Partners, while also managing your own cases under supervision. Your main goal will be to deliver exceptional client service and work with colleagues to ensure our clients receive comprehensive support. You will assist in advising clients, including developers, owner-operators, funders, and investors, on solar, storage, EV infrastructure, and other renewable energy projects. Your work will focus on understanding and aligning with clients’ commercial objectives, ensuring tasks are performed at the appropriate level with client service as a priority. In addition to renewable energy projects, you will handle various commercial property matters, such as negotiating and drafting leases, property transactions, and advising on property development projects. You will build and maintain relationships, providing practical and commercially relevant advice from the outset. Engaging in a wide range of energy and infrastructure property work, you will be representing high-profile clients on significant national transactions. What we're looking for: You should have 2 years of post-qualification experience in commercial property, ideally from a large regional or national practice, with a focus or interest in energy and infrastructure projects. This includes familiarity with options, leases, and renewable energy development. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, eager to learn, and committed to sharing knowledge and building capacity within the team. In your current role, you should enjoy engaging with clients and developing relationships as a trusted business adviser. You will understand the commercial context and nuances that influence the sector. In return, we will support your professional growth, providing the resources and encouragement needed to enhance your skills and practice. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise and advance your career within a supportive and dynamic environment. We will work with you to set realistic and achievable goals to help you reach your career aspirations. Our offer to you: In return for your efforts, you can expect considerable scope for personal, as well as professional, development. We encourage people to engage with our popular and well supported coaching and mentoring programmes, which connect you to people right across the firm and at every level.
