The post holder will be based in the Outpatient Musculoskeletal team at North Manchester General and will be part of a supportive team with an interest in service development and teaching.
The successful candidate will carry an independent caseload of patients with musculoskeletal, hand and wrist, and rheumatological problems, and deliver a high standard of evidence-based physiotherapy. There are opportunities to experience running rehabilitation groups, as well as seeing patients in a clinic environment. The team also supports the Employee Health and Wellbeing MSK service for staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy management of patients with musculoskeletal/rheumatological presentations.
2. Supervision of less experienced staff, such as rehab assistants and band 5 physiotherapists.
3. Clinical mentorship of student physiotherapists.
4. Service development projects, such as audit and quality improvement programmes.
5. Participate in orthopaedic weekend rota.
