Perch Group seeks a Senior Systems Lead to drive the development of a robust and scalable application landscape across our five business units. This permanent role demands expertise in traditional system design, software development, and integration architecture, focusing on seamless connectivity between in-house systems and external SaaS technologies. You will translate business requirements into strategic system designs, evaluate SaaS solutions, and optimize integration flows, ensuring alignment with our growth agenda.
This position requires a leader capable of defining and implementing comprehensive integration strategies, providing technical guidance to development teams, and engaging with technology suppliers. You will ensure the architectural impact of new technologies aligns with our existing systems, maintain thorough documentation, and leverage your understanding of cloud technologies and API design to foster efficient and secure integrations. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring our systems support business objectives.
Salary and Location: £60,000-70,000 + up to 20% bonus. Based at our Blackpool office with hybrid working options.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement scalable, secure Azure-based system architectures.
2. Define and enforce architectural standards for Azure services and C# development.
3. Develop and execute integration strategies connecting Azure/C# applications with SaaS providers.
4. Evaluate and select SaaS solutions based on requirements and compatibility.
API Design & Management:
1. Design and document APIs for internal and external use.
2. Manage API lifecycle, ensuring security and performance.
3. Lead and guide C# development teams, maintaining code quality and standards.
Integration Optimization:
1. Enhance integration flows for performance and security.
2. Implement and monitor Azure integration services.
Documentation & Standards:
1. Maintain system architecture and API documentation.
2. Establish coding standards for C# and Azure deployments.
Skills & Experience:
* Deep knowledge of Azure architecture and services.
* Proficiency in C# and .NET.
* Experience with API design (REST, SOAP).
* Understanding of cloud security and network architecture.
Additional Skills:
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
* Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 5+ years designing enterprise system architectures, focusing on Azure.
* Proven experience with SaaS integrations and Azure services.
* Experience with Azure DevOps, containerization, and data integration tools.
